Nearly 4,000 carats of Panjshir emeralds sold for over half a million dollars

BAZARAK: The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said in a statement today that 3,987 carats of high-quality emeralds have been sold through a bidding process for $524,350.
The sale biding process was carried out in the presence of Panjshir officials, private sector representatives, and observers, ensuring full transparency and accountability, the statement said.
The statement described the sale as an important step toward increasing mining revenues and creating more opportunities for investors.
Since the return of the Islamic Emirate to power in Afghanistan, precious and semi-precious stones extracted from the country’s mines have been sold through bidding processes.
