Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund: Sending workers abroad will strengthen Afghanistan’s economy

KABUL: Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, stated that the dispatch of Afghan workers abroad will bolster Afghanistan’s economy.
According to Radio Omid, he made the remarks today during the inauguration of the Afghan workers’ dispatch process in Kabul.
He emphasized that one of the advantages of legally sending Afghan workers abroad is the reduction of the unemployment rate.
Meanwhile, Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, the acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, mentioned that discussions are underway for the legal dispatch of workers from Afghanistan to five countries.
Omari noted that negotiations are ongoing with officials from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iran, and the Russian Federation.
Previously, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced an agreement with the UAE for the dispatch of Afghan workers.
In the first phase, approximately 2,000 workers are expected to be sent to this country.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the registration process for Afghan workers within the country will begin from tomorrow.
