KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir yesterday met with members of the Youth Council from 22 precincts and 14 districts of Kabul at the Sapidar Palace, Arg said in a statement.
In the meeting, members of the youth council said that the power in previous regime was at the hands of youth who had returned from the West. They lacked awareness of Afghani values and Islamic principles and also were not loyal to national interests.
“The minds of the people had been violated in the past twenty years, but Alhamdulillah, after the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate in the country, more attention has been paid to committed and Muslim youth,” the statement quoted them as saying.
They praised IEA keeping their doors open to the youth. They also highlighted the existing challenges faced by the youth and called on the Islamic Emirate to prevent the migration of young people abroad, which happens due to unemployment, and asked for job opportunities to be paved for them in the country.
They called the Islamic Emirate as the common system of all Afghans and assured that they will cooperate with the Islamic Emirate in any field and stressed that they would never allow youths to become targets of Western propaganda or take actions against the country and its system.
Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, said that in the past twenty years of Jihad, not only educated youth but all Afghan youth suffered difficulties.
They actively fought and today, in the Islamic Emirate as well, a larger number of youth are actively involved.
“Islamic Emirate is from youth and youth are from Islamic Emirate and special attention will be paid to their problems,” the statement quoted Mawlavi Abdul Kabir as saying.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs said: “Today, countrywide security has been ensured, corruption has been eradicated, and an independent system ruling over the country where there is no place for biases, ethnic, linguistic, or political differences and appointments in the system are based on merit and knowledge.”
He added that the Islamic Emirate regulates its relations with the world based on a balanced policy, and it has obtained significant achievements in its foreign policy.
Pointing to the UN-led Doha meeting, Deputy PM Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that the decision made in the meeting, without considering the IEA’s demands in line with national interests, was unfair.
Still, 900 individuals have been returned home through the Contact Commission with Afghan Personalities he said adding, that the Islamic Emirate’s arms are open to all Afghans and they should return to their homeland for a peaceful and dignified life.
