KABUL: Al Jazeera has strongly condemned the killing of two journalists and two cameramen in a direct attack by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip.
The network reported early today, that Anas Al-Sharif and Muhammad Qariq were journalists, while Ibrahim Al-Taher and Muhammad Nofal were cameramen who lost their lives in the Israeli forces’ attack.
Al Jazeera stated that this assault is a clear and premeditated attempt to undermine press freedom.
The network called the martyred journalists as some of its best employees, who reported from the heart of Gaza without censorship.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army confirmed the direct attack on these journalists, who were stationed outside Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza.
The regime claimed that the deceased journalists were leading a small Hamas cell in the Gaza Strip.
The incident comes amid nearly two years of conflict in Gaza, during which dozens of journalists have lost their lives.
