KABUL: Ali Larijani, the newly appointed Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, in an official visit has traveled to Iraq.
According to the Tasnim news agency, this visit aims to finalize a security agreement between Tehran and Baghdad.
This marks Larijani’s first trip abroad since his appointment as Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.
Details of the agreement have not yet been disclosed by Iranian media.
Iraq is a neighboring country of Iran that hosts U.S. military personnel.
Recently, Israel has violated Iraqi airspace to conduct attacks targeting Iran.
