KABUL: White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced today that President Donald Trump had an extended phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky while returning to Washington from Alaska.
Jean-Pierre stated to reporters aboard Air Force One that the U.S. president also spoke with NATO leaders during the flight.
Meanwhile, President Zelensky confirmed that he would travel to Washington on Monday to discuss efforts to “end the war and the killings” with U.S. officials.
This comes just a day after President Trump held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska regarding the situation in Ukraine.
