KABUL: The Minister of National Defense Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, pointing to the Islamic Emirate’s ties with China and Russia, stated that Afghanistan is independent in establishing relations with any country in the region and the world.
In an exclusive interview with the BBC, he mentioned that the Islamic Emirate can establish relations with any country based on its policies.
He emphasized that instead of accusing neighboring countries, there should be an understanding of the facts and respect for the rights of neighborliness.
Mujahid also dismissed claims of neighboring countries regarding the activities of armed groups in Afghanistan and called it baseless, suggesting that such allegations may be made for specific objectives by those countries.
According to him, discussions about the activities of armed groups in Afghanistan should take place directly with the Islamic Emirate, rather than in the United Nations Security Council, to ensure accurate communication and understanding.
