KABUL: Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, has expressed condolences to the families affected by the earthquake in the eastern provinces of Afghanistan.
The Iranian Embassy in Afghanistan in a message expressed sympathy and condolences from President Pezeshkian today.
The embassy also noted that Dr. Sayed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, expressed his deep sorrow over the deadly earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, offering condolences and solidarity with the affected families and the great nation of Afghanistan.
In part of his message, Araghchi stated: “In these difficult moments of great tragedy, while expressing heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the great nation of Afghanistan and the grieving families, the Islamic Republic of Iran announces its full readiness to send humanitarian, medical, and relief assistance.”
He expressed hope that through regional and joint cooperation, they would overcome this calamity together.
It is noteworthy that the devastating earthquake in eastern Afghanistan has garnered widespread international reactions.
