KABUL: The Turkish Embassy in Afghanistan said in a post on its X account that it has delivered 25 tons of humanitarian aid for earthquake victims in the eastern provinces to Afghan authorities in Nangarhar.
The embassy noted that the aid was transported by a Turkish Ministry of Defense aircraft, organized by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and the Turkish Red Crescent. The aid was handed over by embassy advisors to officials from the Ministry of Interior and the Afghan Red Crescent at the Jalalabad airport.
This aid package includes essential humanitarian supplies such as food items, tents, blankets, and sanitation materials.
The statement mentioned that the assistance will soon be distributed to the earthquake victims. The process of transferring aid from various countries to Afghan earthquake victims continues.
