Afghan border police delegation travels to China for migrant management conference

KABUL: The General Directorate of Border Police of the Ministry of Interior has announced that a three-member delegation has traveled to China.

Abidullah Oqab Farooqi, spokesperson for the General Directorate, said on Sunday, that the delegation is attending the “Cooperation on Migrant Management” conference, which features representatives from various countries.

The Afghan delegation is led by Mawlavi Abdul Manan Hassan, the military deputy of the General Directorate of Border Police.

The spokesperson mentioned that the meeting will focus on preventing border risks and facilitating movement.

This comes as the Border Police have managed the return of over 2 million Afghan migrants from various countries, particularly Iran and Pakistan, along the Durand Line over the past four years.
