Construction work on six schools begins in Herat

KABUL: The provincial officials of Herat province have announced the commencement of construction on six school buildings, valued at 28 million Afghanis (some 400,000 U.S dollars).

Mawlavi Rahmatullah Jaber, the head of education in Herat, said today that four schools will be built in the Rabat Sanghi district, while the other two will be built in the Injil district of Herat.

He stated that the completion of these schools will provide thousands of students with access to safe educational environments.

The new school buildings will each include six classrooms, an administrative office, and other essential facilities.

However, local officials did not disclose the funding source for these educational projects in Herat.

Recently, the Ministry of Education also announced the initiation of construction for dozens of schools valued at around 200 million Afghanis in Paktia province.
