KABUL: The athletes of Afghanistan’s national zurkhaneh team have achieved third place in the 7th round of the Asian Championship for this sport.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports announced on Saturday night, members of the national Zurkhaneh team earned 11 bronze medals, securing third place among 18 participating countries.
At the end of the championship, Iran took first place, Iraq came in second, and Tajikistan finished fourth.
The 7th round of the Asian Zurkhaneh Championship was held in Iran, starting on October 8 and concluding on October 11.
