Zabihullah Mujahid: Security situation stable, malicious groups trying to create division between Afghanistan and Pakistan

KABUL: Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, stated that Afghanistan’s security situation is reassuring, and the country is moving towards political and security stability.

Speaking at a press conference in Kabul today, Mawlavi Mujahid emphasized that no major political or security events have occurred in the country over the past eight months.

He mentioned that the Islamic Emirate security forces have complete control over all official borders and imaginary lines, preventing illegal activities.

Mr. Mujahid added: “Certain malicious groups are attempting to confuse public minds, spread false propaganda, and create distance between Afghanistan and Pakistan. These groups do not want the region to be free from violence.”

In his remarks, Mujahid pointed to certain factions within the Pakistani military that, according to him, are opposed to Afghanistan’s progress and are trying to incite tension among Afghans. He stated that these groups not only attack Afghan territory but are also linked to drug cultivation and trafficking, turning a blind eye to ISIS (Kharijites) hideouts in their regions to disrupt regional security.

According to him, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan desires good and balanced relations with all countries based on national and Islamic values, but will not allow any country to harm Afghanistan’s independence and national sovereignty.

These statements come amid Pakistan’s recent airstrikes into Afghan territory, disregarding Kabul’s warnings.
