KANDAHAR: As a result of snowfall and rainfall, two people have been killed, three wounded, and 238 residential houses destroyed, local officials confirmed.
The provincial Information and Culture Directorate quoting Kandahar’s local official said on Saturday, that among the destroyed homes, 170 of them were tents that were being used as temporary shelters.
The recent rainfall and snowfall in several provinces of the country have caused casualties and financial losses. As recently the collapse of a roof claimed six lives in Helmand province.
