KABUL: Leader of Muslim League-Nawaz Shehbaz Sharif has been elected on Sunday as Pakistan’s Prime Minister by the parliament of that country, Pakistani media reported.
Shahbaz Sharif the leader of Nawaz’s Muslim League, has competed with Omar Ayub, who has the support of the Tehreek-e-Insaf party of Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif, the candidate of PML-N and allied parties, secured two hundred and one votes. Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Omar Ayub Khan bagged ninety-two votes, media reported.
It is the second time that Shehbaz Sharif has been elected as the Prime Minister of the country.
The Pakistan parliamentary elections have been held 25 days ago.
