KABUL: A total of 40 Afghan refugees imprisoned by Pakistani officials, have recently been released from Karachi state of Pakistan, the Afghan embassy in Islamabad said in its X account on Sunday.
“As a result of the efforts made by the Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad and Consulate of the country in Karachi, 40 Afghans including women and children have been released,” the statement said.
According to the Afghan Embassy in Pakistan, in the past year, a total of 3,261 Afghan nationals have been released from Pakistan’s prisons.
