Ministry of National Defense rejects hidden clauses of agreement signed between Afghanistan and Pakistan

KABUL: The Ministry of National Defense has stated that the details of the agreement signed between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Doha, Qatar, were made public by Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the Minister of National Defense.

In a clarifying letter published today, the ministry outlined that the agreement includes provisions for a ceasefire, mutual respect, refraining from attacks on each other’s security forces, civilians, and facilities, resolving issues through dialogue, and not supporting attacks against one another.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, any statements beyond these are considered invalid.

The ceasefire agreement between Afghanistan and Pakistan was signed four days ago by the defense ministers of both countries, initiated by the governments of Qatar and Turkey in Doha.

Recently, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, the Defense Minister of Pakistan, stated that the annexes of the Doha agreement would never be disclosed.
