GARDIZ: In the past one year, heavy amount of glass, hashish, alcohol and other 162 various types of weapons have been seized and some individuals also arrested in Paktia.
Speaking in a press conference, police spokesman of Paktia, Munib Zadran said that during this period, 310 people have been introduced to drug rehabilitation center for treatments.
He added that nearly 5,000 acres of hashish lands have also been eradicated.
Meanwhile, Paktia Security Commander Qari Mohammad Aslam Karamat also assured the people of better security and urged them to increase their cooperation with the security forces in order to prevent security and criminal incidents.
On the other hand, some residents of Paktia called security forces achievements fruitful in eliminating drugs and criminal incidents.
