Over 400 protesters arrested during recent demonstrations in Nepal

KABUL: Nepalese police have announced the arrest of 423 individuals for vandalism during anti-government protests held last September.

Police spokesman Abi Narayan Kafle stated that a joint task force has been established to gather further information related to the incidents.

The protests began when hundreds of young people took to the streets against former Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli, accusing the government of corruption.

Due to the widespread demonstrations, former Prime Minister Oli resigned from his position, which has led to a gradual decrease in the intensity of the protests.
