KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in reaction to the recent report of the United Nations Secretary-General and the recent speech of the head of UNAMA in the Security Council, said that the report is partial.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement said today that the United Nations should act impartially in Afghanistan-related issues.
“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, in the framework of the holy religion of Islam, national sovereignty and national interests, reiterates its commitment to transparent and result-oriented engagement with all world countries, including the organization of the United Nations, at any time and any place aimed at securing mutual interests and finding solutions to mutual concerns,” said the statement.
The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres published his quarterly report on Afghanistan last week.
On the other hand, the head of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Afghanistan (UNAMA), Roza Otunbayeva, delivered a speech at the Security Council of the United Nations late last week.
