KABUL: Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior Affairs said on Sunday that at least 24 individuals trafficking drugs have been arrested along with 100 kgs of narcotics and thousands of tablet-k in some provinces of the country.
During a series of counter-narcotics operations by the relevant police personnel of the ministry, 24 drug smugglers have been arrested in Nangarhar, Faryab, Kandahar, Ghor, Jawzjan, Khost and Badakhshan provinces in the past day, said the spokesman of the ministry Abdul Mateen Qani adding, that 100 kilograms of various kinds of narcotics and over 7,300 pills of tablet-k have been seized.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to eradicating poppy across the country.
