KABUL: At least 49 Afghan families, totaling 217 individuals, have been detained and expelled by Pakistani police, and returned home yesterday, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said on Monday.
The Afghan migrants through Torkham crossing port returned home, said the ministry.
According to the statement, the returned families were introduced to the relevant United Nations institutions, in order to receive assistance.
It has been, six months, that the process of forced deportation of Afghan migrants ongoing from Pakistan, despite international opposition, and so far, more than 500,000 Afghans have been expelled from Pakistan
