KABUL: Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, the Minister of Public Health, during his official visit to India, participated in a separate meeting with health ministers from 23 countries at the second international conference on traditional medicine organized by the World Health Organization.
The ministry stated in a statement that Minister Jalali described traditional medicine as valuable and emphasized that “standardized traditional medicine” ensures the expansion of health services and increases public trust in the health sector.
He further clarified that Afghanistan officially supports the World Health Organization’s strategy for traditional medicine (2025–2034) and is committed to aligning its national policies, curricula, and regulations with international standards.
During the conference, various ministers from different countries also highlighted the importance of joint efforts and strengthening health systems, committing to the development of international collaborations in the field of traditional medicine.
