KABUL: As the forced deportation of Afghan migrants from Pakistan continues, 5,204 Afghan migrants entered Afghanistan in a single day after being expelled from the neighboring country, the High Commission for Addressing the Refugees’ Issues said in a statement today.
The migrants returned via the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar Province, the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar Province, and the Bahramcha crossing in Helmand Province yesterday (Friday).
According to the statement, 4,316 people entered through the Torkham crossing, 551 through the Spin Boldak crossing, and another 337 through the Bahramcha crossing.
In addition, the financial, registration and reception, health, and transportation committees have assisted hundreds of migrant families who have returned home.
It is worth noting that the forced deportation of Afghan migrants from Pakistan is ongoing without interruption and continues daily.
