KABUL: The United Nations has reported the urgent needs of earthquake-affected families in northern Afghanistan.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) highlighted in a statement that these families urgently require “shelter, food, water, health, and sanitation services.”
The office noted that earthquake-affected families in northern Afghanistan are currently living in temporary shelters amid severe cold.
The statement mentioned that international organizations, including the UN OCHA, are working to address these pressing needs.
Meanwhile, UN humanitarian agencies, including the Afghan Red Crescent Society and the National Disaster Management Authority, continue to assist the earthquake survivors in the region.
