KABUL: The Ministry of Public Works in a statement announced today the commencement of construction on a 26 km road, with an estimated cost of 306 million Afghanis, in Badakhshan province.
In a ceremony held on this occasion, was attended by senior local government officials, along with hundreds of scholars, influential figures, and residents of Badakhshan.
According to the statement, this road, measuring 10 meters in width, will connect the districts of “Yaftal, Yaawan, Raghistan, and Kuhistan” to Faizabad, the provincial capital.
Residents of Badakhshan, particularly those from the districts along the route, have welcomed the project, viewing it as a solution to their transportation challenges.
Badakhshan is a large and strategic province in northeastern Afghanistan, characterized by mountainous districts with difficult access roads.
