KABUL: Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, Afghanistan’s Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, during his trip to Oman met with Saeed bin Hamoud al-Maawali and Naif bin Ali al-Amri, the Transport Minister and President of Civil Aviation of Oman, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation said in a statement.
According to the statement, the transport ministers of Afghanistan and Oman discussed the expansion of transportation relations, strengthening bilateral cooperation, and various other topics.
It was also mentioned that discussions were held regarding air traffic services, cargo transfers, and bilateral cooperation in the aviation corridor with the head of Oman’s civil aviation.
Additionally, capacity-building for professional staff was part of the discussions between the two officials from Afghanistan and Oman.
It is worth noting that Afghanistan’s Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation has been on an official visit to Muscat for several days.
