More than 515,000 military operations conducted in 2025; hundreds of weapons and tons of drugs seized

KABUL: Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate said in a statement today that the country’s security forces have conducted 515,099 operational missions in various zones during the year 2025.

According to the statement, as a result of these operations, authorities seized 316 weapons, 183 landmines, 6,433,093 kilograms of narcotics, 8 communication devices, 24 cameras, 118 motorcycles, 43 kilograms of explosives, 61 hand grenades, a quantity of narcotic tablets, alcohol, and other substances.

In the same year, 15,302 members of the Islamic and National Army graduated from several months of training, said the statement, adding that the Ministry of National Defense collected 48 million Afghanis in revenue in 2025.

Additionally, the construction of 600 basic posts along the border areas and the Durand Line was another activity undertaken by the Ministry of National Defense last year.

Infrastructure projects included the completion of roads in 30% of border areas previously planned, as well as the construction of a 99-kilometer road from the Karan and Munjan Districts of Badakhshan to “Selin Kotol” in the Zibak District, carried out by the special force of Panjshir Province.

This comes as the efforts of the country’s defense forces to strengthen their capabilities, increase capacity, and assist the people continue.
