Muttaqi: Satisfactory progress achieved in Doha process working groups

KABUL: Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, in a meeting with George Ganyun, head of the political section of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, discussed various issues.
According to the statement, the meeting covered issues such as the upcoming visit of the UN Secretary-General’s Deputy, Rosemary DiCarlo, the framework of the Doha process on the fight against narcotics, and the progress of working groups on private sector support.
Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi stated that the Islamic Emirate has achieved satisfactory progress in the Doha process working groups. However, he noted that other parties have not been able to provide satisfactory outcomes regarding alternative livelihoods and banking issues.
Additionally, Ganyun described the results of previous meetings of the two working groups in the Doha process as positive, emphasizing that further attention will be given to these matters.
