KABUL: A regular meeting of the Economic Commission was held with Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, on the chair, where various issues were discussed.
According to a statement from the Deputy Prime Minister’s office today, the discussions focused on reactivating the Shorab Civil Airport in Helmand Province and the existing cold storage facilities, implementing the law governing freight transport vehicles, determining the payment timeline for land purchases in industrial parks, and categorizing lands in industrial parks based on provinces.
The statement also noted that the meeting addressed tax exemptions for investors making new investments in Afghanistan to create job opportunities for citizens.
According to the statement, after discussions, committees were appointed to comprehensively review the aforementioned topics and provide their reports to the Economic Commission within set timeframes.
The Economic Commission continually and regularly holds sessions aimed at decision-making on major economic projects in the country.
