KABUL: The National Football Federation of Afghanistan has announced that the national futsal team triumphed over Vietnam in a friendly match.
In a statement, the federation reported today, that the match, hosted by Vietnam, took place at 2:30 PM and concluded with a score of 5–3 in favor of Afghanistan.
The Afghan players ended the first half with a score of 4–1 and maintained their lead to finish the second half 5–3.
Goals for Afghanistan were scored by Akbar Kazemi, Hamid Reza Hosseini, Reza Hosseini Pour, Sayed Mujtaba Hosseini, and Sayed Murtaza Hosseini.
A second friendly match between the futsal teams of Afghanistan and Vietnam is scheduled for Tuesday of this week.
These matches are aimed at preparing for the 2026 AFC Futsal Championship in Indonesia.
