KABUL: A number of Afghan migrants were martyred and injured during the 35-day conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran, senior Iranian officials have confirmed.
Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said in a post on X that Afghan nationals were among the victims of the attacks.
He extended condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the government and people of Afghanistan.
Baghaei also shared footage showing Iranian rescue teams pulling an 8-year-old Afghan child from under rubble.
Currently, a large number of Afghan migrants reside in Iran, many of whom have been affected by the ongoing conflict.
