Nearly 4,000 Afghan migrants expelled from Pakistan in one day

KABUL: Nearly 3,859 Afghan migrants were forcibly deported from Pakistan in a single day, according to the High Commission for Addressing Refugees’ Issues on Sunday.

The commission said that 3,504 returnees entered Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing in Nangarhar and 355 via Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar.

Upon arrival, the deportees were registered and received initial humanitarian assistance before being sent back to their home regions.

Forced deportations of Afghan migrants from Pakistan have been continuing on a daily basis.
