Eight water supply networks worth 30 mln AFG inaugurated in Parwan

KABUL: The Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Mullah Mohammad Yonus Akhund, during a ceremony inaugurated 8 water supply networks with the cost of 30 million Afghanis (some 420,731 US dollars) in Parwan province.

The water supply networks have been completed and inaugurated in Sayed Khel, Shinwari, Siyah Gerd and Shaikh Ali districts of the province, the ministry said in a statement.

The projects included digging deep wells, construction of water reservoirs, installing solar system, and some other projects, said the statement adding, that the projects have been built with the financial support of the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF).

With the implementation of the projects, safe drinking water was provided to hundreds of families.
