KABUL: Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Najibullah Hayat Haqqani, has distributed 1,237 residential land plots to returning migrant families in Khanki, area Beshsud district of Nangarhar province.
According to a statement from the ministry on Saturday, speaking at a ceremony held on this occasion, Haqqani said the Islamic Emirate is committed to providing returning migrants with housing, basic services, and suitable living conditions as much as possible.
He added that the allocated plots would enable families to settle permanently in a safe and organized environment and restart their normal lives.
The ministry noted that infrastructure development in the area, including water supply, electricity, road construction, and healthcare facilities, will begin gradually in the near future.
According to official figures, a total of 2,605 residential plots have so far been distributed to returning migrant families in Nangarhar province.
