KABUL: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said in a statement on Sunday, that a joint delegation from Uzbekistan’s government and private sector, accompanied by senior Afghan trade officials, has traveled to Balkh province.
According to the statement, the delegation is led by Amanbay Orynbayev, head of the Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan, and is being accompanied by Mawlavi Shahabuddin Saqib.
The purpose of the visit is to hold a trade connectivity conference, participate in business meetings between Afghan and Uzbek private sector representatives, and inaugurate an exhibition of Uzbek domestic products in Mazar-i-Sharif.
The high-level Uzbek delegation arrived in Kabul on Saturday.
Following a meeting with Mawlavi Nooruddin Azizi, the two sides signed 13 cooperation agreements related to exports and imports.
