Three health centers inaugurated in Helmand

LASHKARGAH: The Helmand provincial officials say that three health centers have been constructed and the facilities are now operational at a cost of 25 million afghanis.

Helmand’s Public Health Director Dr. Naqibullah Fateh said on Wednesday that the projects were implemented in the districts of Baghni and Baghran with financial support from the International Organization for Migration.

According to him, the newly opened centers will expand access to primary and essential healthcare services for residents in remote areas of the province.

Dr. Fateh said the facilities are expected to improve access to medical treatment and healthcare services for communities living in remote areas of the Baghni and Baghran districts.

Expanding healthcare services to underserved and remote regions remains a key priority for Afghanistan’s public health sector, officials said.
