KABUL: The CEO of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) the country’s main power supply company, Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, has held talks with Turkmenistan’s Energy Minister Annageldi Saparov on expanding bilateral electricity cooperation.
According to a statement published by Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat on X, Hamkar said work on the 500-kilovolt electricity transmission line project is progressing rapidly and is expected to be completed within approximately one year.
Turkmen officials also said they plan to visit Kabul in the near future to present proposals for new electricity projects.
The statement quoted the Turkmen energy minister as saying that electricity exports to various provinces of Afghanistan would continue without interruption.
