KABUL: The Security and Purification Commission, held a meeting with Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, National Defense Minister, to review the country’s security situation, particularly in the central zone, officials said.
According to an official statement, the session was conducted jointly with members of the Central Zone Security Commission and focused on the comprehensive implementation of decrees issued by the leadership of the Islamic Emirate, as well as broader security assessments.
The commission leadership described ensuring public safety as a key responsibility of the Islamic Emirate and also heard concerns raised by security officials from the central zone, assuring participants that efforts would be made to address the issues.
Based on guidance from the leadership, officials were instructed to take practical and effective measures to resolve public concerns fairly and swiftly, strengthen security coordination, prevent crime, and improve public services.
Governors from Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjshir, Maidan Wardak, and Bamyan provinces, along with several other security officials, attended the meeting.
The Security and Purification Commission is considered Afghanistan’s highest decision-making body on security affairs and regularly holds meetings to assess the security situation and adopt necessary measures.
