KABUL: Iran’s Ambassador and Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs Mohammad Hassan Qomi, in a meeting held here in Kabul, on “water issues between Kabul and Tehran” has stated that his country is seeking to transform Afghanistan into a strategic partner.
“Tehran is committed to expanding relations with Afghanistan and the creation of a gap between Iran and the Islamic Emirate can be seen as an American agenda, said Qomi adding, that the United States not giving up on Afghanistan.”
He further added that tying the economic interests of the two countries together and connecting their infrastructures would be the best way to strengthen bilateral ties.
