NPC approves 15 development projects worth 4.2 billion Afghanis

KABUL: The National Procurement Commission, chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs has approved 15 development projects worth 4.2 billion Afghanis during its latest regular meeting.
According to a statement from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, a total of 31 projects were presented for approval, after discussions, 15 projects were approved, while seven others were sent for amendments and revisions.
The approved and amended projects include completion of geotechnical studies for the Zardalu Dam in Ghazni province, construction of a 14-kilometer road at Hairatan Port in Balkh province, and the construction of a road from the end of the first section of the Kabul–Logar highway to Sang Naweshta.
The projects also include the construction of public hospitals in the Lolash districts of Faryab province, Andar in Ghazni, Kajran in Daykundi province, Bala Murghab in Badghis province, Kahmard in Bamyan province, and Musa Khail in Khost province.
In addition, the commission approved the completion of unfinished electricity transmission and distribution projects in several provinces across the country.
