KABUL: The country’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock held a “Farm Day” event at the Bini Hisar agricultural research farm in Kabul, organized by the ministry’s General Agricultural Research Institute.
According to Omid Radio correspondent, Deputy Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Mawlavi Sadr Azam Osmani said during the ceremony that he recently visited several agricultural research centers in Russia to learn from advanced farming methods and scientific experiences.
Osmani added that the ministry is working to provide necessary facilities and support for agricultural specialists in order to increase the production of improved seeds across the country.
The event was attended by senior officials from the agriculture ministry, professors from the Faculty of Agriculture at Kabul University, members of the Afghanistan Academy of Sciences, and a large number of farmers.
