KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump said he has instructed his representatives not to rush into a potential agreement with Iran.
Trump stated that maritime restrictions and pressure on Iran would remain in place until a final agreement is reached.
He also reaffirmed Washington’s hardline stance regarding Iran’s nuclear programme and regional activities.
The United States has increased sanctions and pressure on Iran over concerns related to Tehran’s nuclear ambitions and regional influence.
Iran, however, has repeatedly described the measures as “illegal” and has called for the removal of sanctions.
