Iceland contributes nearly $402,000 in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

KABUL: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has announced that Iceland has contributed 50 million Icelandic krona (around 402,000 U.S. dollars) to the Afghanistan Humanitarian Fund.

According to OCHA, the funding will enable humanitarian partners to deliver essential assistance to families affected by emergencies across Afghanistan.

The agency stated that Iceland’s contribution will support the continuation of humanitarian operations and help provide relief to vulnerable Afghans in need.

OCHA welcomed the donation and emphasized that support from international partners remains vital for addressing humanitarian needs and ensuring assistance reaches affected communities throughout the country.
