KABUL: Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Khoja Ovezov, met with Afghanistan’s Minister of Public Works, Mullah Mohammad Essa Sani, in Kabul to discuss expanding economic, trade, and transport cooperation, as well as several key infrastructure projects.
According to Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works, Minister Sani described the economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan as longstanding and expressed appreciation for Turkmenistan’s continued cooperation.
The two sides also discussed the construction of the 10-kilometer Aqina–Andkhoy railway line, the expansion of the Torghundi port, and the development of new facilities. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing bilateral cooperation on transport and infrastructure projects.
