KABUL: Turkish police have detained 20 Afghan migrants without legal residency documents in the city of Bolu and arrested three other individuals on charges of human smuggling.
According to the police, the migrants were transferred to the Bolu Provincial Directorate of Migration Management after administrative procedures to begin the process of deportation.
The arrests come as Turkey has intensified its crackdown on undocumented migrants in recent months, particularly Afghan nationals, through increased detentions and deportations.
