KABUL: Vahid Jalalzadeh, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs, arrived in Kabul on Monday to participate in the fifth Afghanistan-Iran Consular Meeting.
According to the Iranian Embassy in Afghanistan, the primary purpose of Jalalzadeh’s visit is to attend the latest round of bilateral consular talks, where officials from both countries will discuss issues of mutual interest and ongoing consular challenges.
Jalalzadeh said consular cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran would be a key focus of the meeting, with both sides expected to explore practical solutions to existing issues.
The fourth session of the joint Afghanistan-Iran Consular Commission was held in Tehran last year, where the two countries agreed to establish a bilateral joint committee to follow up on and resolve outstanding consular matters.
