KABUL: Spain’s national football team, by defeating France 2-0, secured a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
The semifinal match was played on Tuesday night at a stadium in Dallas, United States. Spain delivered a dominant performance, scoring twice against France and maintaining its lead until the final whistle to book its spot in the final.
France, which had been aiming to reach its third consecutive World Cup final, was eliminated from the tournament following the defeat.
Spain will face the winner of the other semifinal between Argentina and England in the World Cup final on July 19, as it bids to win its second World Cup title, following its triumph in 2010.
