FIROZKOH: The Ghor officials say they have destroyed more than 29,000 kilograms of narcotics that had been collected from the provincial center and surrounding districts.
According to officials, the destroyed substances included opium, hashish, methamphetamine, alcohol, acid, and various chemicals and compounds used in the production of illegal drugs.
Provincial officials added that since the Islamic Emirate returned to power, the cultivation, production, and trafficking of narcotics have been banned nationwide, and that dozens of drug production centers and laboratories have been dismantled across the country over the past five years.
