KABUL: The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, Pakistan, and Indonesia, in a joint statement, have strongly condemned the visit by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and other Jewish visitors to the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
The statement described the visit as a clear violation of the site’s historic and legal status, warning that such actions could further escalate tensions in the region.
The joint declaration also stressed several key points, including:
* Respect for Jordan’s custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
